Baltimore-via-Brooklyn's answer to Passion Pit? Who cares, this Yeasayer track is the JAM!

Just joking with the question, but to be fair, if you like the former, you should dig the latter.  Didn't know these guys were originally from Baltimore.  You can hear it though.

Their new album Odd Blood is out in February.

Yeasayer - Ambling Alp.

Shouts to the homey Matt for this one.

This cover fits the acoustic medium much better than the band's orignal source material.

2nd track is off of oft-used producer Mathmatics new one.

And yes, Rza painted that, and prints are for sale.

Props to Nah Right for the tracks.

I don't understand why rap/rock collabos sound so terrible when this new Spoon track makes it seem entirely possible

Yeah, so no one is ACTUALLY rapping on this, but I hear Ghostface every time I listen to it.  Heard they listen to a lot of Prince.  Someone will rap over this, mark my words.

Spoon - Who Makes Your Money

Listen to my initial standout track off of Vampire Weekend's new album, Contra

Really diggn' the baseline on this one.

Haven't let the album really digest yet, but initial reactions would be its not as easily accesible as their first album.  This could be a good thing with repeated listens, but is sort of a shame since their main appeal for me was making poppy, accesible music with world sounds.
